Welcome

The continuing expansion of information demands that students acquire the thinking skills that will enable them to learn on their own. Their future demands that they acquire the skills to select, evaluate, and use information appropriately and effectively. My teaching is focused on collaborating with others to provide instruction, learning strategies, and practice in using the essential multiple literacy skills needed to succeed in the 21st century. These literacies include digital, visual, textual, and technological, while at the same time remembering that reading is foundational for learning, personal growth, and enjoyment. Reading is a window to the world.
